The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has begun issuing awards under the Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. NET was among the contractors included in the initial round of staggered SHIELD awards.

The contract vehicle represents a major shift in Pentagon acquisition, emphasizing speed and scale in responding to complex threats. The anticipated maximum value is $151 billion, supporting the program’s goal of rapidly acquiring advanced technologies for a multilayered homeland defense system known as Golden Dome.
